Has he been fast at any time this decade? Just a low-mid 80s guy isn't he?Is this actually true?

I don't think it's obvious he'd be better than Woakes at all. Nothing about this pitch suggests a guy who relies on bounce is going to be effective on it. Kerrigan is obvious as he couldn't be any worse. Was 'down' on pace in Australia, but did pretty well. Tremlett generally bowls around 83/84mph when I've seen him. It's his height and bounce that make him dangerous, and I think it's pretty obvious that he'd have done a much better job in this Test match than Kerrigan and Woakes.
Well Tremlett was bowling 81-82mph for Surrey in a T20 game this season when I was watching and Woakes was appreciably quicker in this Test, so there's definitely something to it.Cabinet's ****ing obsessed with reminding everyone that Tremlett's lost pace but plainly saying he's been 'slower that Woakes' is somewhat disingenuous
For once I hope Surrey win.Anyway, Somerset incredibly lucky. We're so awful this year, hopefully Durham can thrash Surrey.
Second paragraph is irrelevant. I've not passed comment on the merits of the argument or the importance of lace so don't know why you've responded like that.Well Tremlett was bowling 81-82mph for Surrey in a T20 game this season when I was watching and Woakes was appreciably quicker in this Test, so there's definitely something to it.
I don't think their pace is really the point though; Tremlett is obviously a better bowler than Woakes, even if he has declined a bit. My original point was that I don't really think it would've mattered at The Oval on Day 1 and that Tremlett would've likely had a similar return.
Durham's not a minefield, while a batsman may get the odd unplayable delivery it rewards good batting and good bowling.Might just seem like that because you play half your games at Durham.
Will be a travesty if rains saves Slurry tomorrow.
Currently playing Slurrey, all you need to know.Might just seem like that because you play half your games at Durham.
Surrey losing helps Somerset's survival cause FFS.Been a travesty for a few sides this week, funny you don't mention the others. Amazing, because if they just played every match in the West-country (which surely is desirable) the only problems with weather would be prickly-heat.
Yes, I know as I hinted at before, when I kind of said I wanted Durham to win through gritted teeth. Not sure what about my post suggested I wanted Durham to not win.Surrey losing helps Somerset's survival cause FFS.
Personally, I'd be more bitter if Amla saved them.
He is he's like a beard with a bat, with a beard with a ball, and a beard with a beard.Moeen Ali. What a hero.
It's Durham, there is probably a monsoon round the corner. You'd suspect that's the game at the Riverside.
