Great day of riviting test cricket. Aussies lucky with the last wicket stand ... but well done from the young man and it was truly sickening to watch him get out when he did.

Right now I don't think it's evenly matched. I would put me money on Australia for being in the superior position. England would rely haevily on the 2 present batsman for gaining an eventual advantage and if one of them gets out early, which is a fair possbility, Aussies have a real chance to wrap it up cheapish.
We have seen Australian batting collapses before - actually worse than we saw yesterday. I personally haven't seen them to do it twice in a row.
Dead right. England need big innings from both of these guys imo, or Aus won't be chasing very many at all. As for Agar, I might have found it in my heart to be disappointed for him except that, as Ruckus said, he really didn't look like getting out at all, so he'd probably still be there on 180* if he hadn't holed out.

And it's probably already been said, but Finn's bowling yesterday was as bad as anything I've seen from an England bowler. I'd call it village green stuff, but in terms of Finn's stupidity that's an insult to my mates at the Duke's Head.

Wonder how Penisen will approach Agar. The latter will have his tail up and left-arm spin is KP's bugbear, but KP may well go after him unless Starc starts to spray it.

I like Cook's batting till now. Not brilliant, but steady and patient. If he has to steer England out of defeat he's gotta come up with more of this stuff and no loose shots.
