Not really, the freak last wicket partnership has papered over the cracks. Another 200 runs from England and it is yet another loss for us. 5 in a row in fact.

Looks like Australian cricket fans have accepted mediocrity.
Stop trolling, douche.

It's not really trolling if its the truth, or should I start blowing sunshine out my butt and pretend everything's okay with Australian Cricket like a lot of you?

Had a look at CA's website before, no shock they're trying to milk the most out of the hype of the feel good Agar story before the losses start racking up. Agar won't save you Cricket Australia. Nothing will save you from that top order.

Not pretending, simply happy to accept that there are times when we win, and times when we lose, we still have to play the ashes whoever is playing better at the time.

Yeah, I didn't really think we got a conclusive view of the inside edge from the front on hot spot camera. However, I thought snicko was pretty conclusive. There wasn't a single little bit of disturbance on snicko, not the slightest. If the deflection was as big as it appeared, then it would've been a pretty hefty edge, and surely would've made at least the slightest impression on snicko. I think the fact that it didn't is pretty conclusive evidence that the appearance of a deflection was nothing more than an illusion.
When I watched the highlights, or maybe sky sports news, last night, they showed snicko and there was a massive noise at the point when the ball went past Trott's bat. I'm a bit confused by this as clearly at the time it showed nothing, based on what I've read here.

I think all these posts saying the deflection was an illusion are silly though...but we can take that to the wambulance thread

So? What do we do now? Nothing can save us. Let us all go dead.

Does seem like Cook and KP have weathered the storm. Hoping against hope England will be bowled out by tea tomorrow. Wouldn't be surprised to see Cook still at it with Prior going at it though.

Agar WAG!!!

I'm worried about both of these very early today. Talking the first 15 minutes. If they make it through that I'll start feeling comfortable again, as much as I can anyhow.

I can actually watch it today whilst working rather than using you ****s as my live feed (you're quicker than cricinfo)

I suppose with 40 odd overs down that the ball should start to reverse pretty soon, if it's going to at all.

Barring a bowling collapse like Perth vs SA, I don't think
Australia can lose the test in the first session. If England go at about 3 per over they'll be about 90-100 in front at lunch, which isn't irretrievable. If they get it reversing early Australia can go some way to winning it before lunch though.

Cook will go about it as he always does, efficiently. The bloke I fear is Pietersen. If he gets in a mood for an hour or so it could get ugly.

I think Siddle had the right idea against Cook for most of that session. Keep bowling it outside off on a length or just fuller; he lured him into a couple of play and misses too. The good news from Australia's pov is that Cook is the only patient one left in the line-up with Trott gone so if they stay as disciplined as they were yesterday, they can get a few.

Hughes not getting enough praise imo if the damn victorian hadn't got carried away, the prince wouldve tonned up for sure. Looked solid the whole time he was out there, even on day 1
