We got HotSpot. We just didn't get it from side on. Luckily enough we didn't need it because Trott turned his bat around. The no side-on HotSpot there definitely demonstrated a flaw that needs addressing but it didn't really matter this time.
Thought we only got the outside edge :/

I love to watch players who are left handed batsmen like me :) Tomorrow there is only one leftie at the crease but I hope he does well.

Can't be bothered reading through the thread to see how many times this point has already been made, but: the 10th wicket partnership record pretty much just got broken by an opener and a lower-middle order batsman, right?

Agar's prior record would've suggested he was pretty much an all-rounder who should bat 8 in this line-up, but I guess as a young kid and with Siddle/Starc/Pattinson all firmly in the "can handle a bat" class, the kid gets the easy job for now?

Can always count on a Kiwi for their graciousness...

Yeah, I didn't really think we got a conclusive view of the inside edge from the front on hot spot camera. However, I thought snicko was pretty conclusive. There wasn't a single little bit of disturbance on snicko, not the slightest. If the deflection was as big as it appeared, then it would've been a pretty hefty edge, and surely would've made at least the slightest impression on snicko. I think the fact that it didn't is pretty conclusive evidence that the appearance of a deflection was nothing more than an illusion.

I graduated today and missed a lot of it but Agar looks like he has a good technique. I like it. Unorthodox but looks very competent and not at all tailenderish.

Omg only just found out Ashton played for Henley. That's my local freaking team. He played for them as a replacement for my friend.
