We've gone from the spectacle of a 19 year old debutant no 11 nearly scoring a maiden ashes ton at nearly a run a ball to stolid upper order batting with a strike rate of less than 40 in the space of a few hours. Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.

Philip Hughes burying some major demons here. Never mind Agar, who's been wonderful, that's probably the biggest development for the series.
The news of Martin's retirement was just the shot of confidence he needed, imo.

A flight to Dublin and a few pints in the Porterhouse Temple Bar. Naturally I shall make sure they have the cricket on.

He bowled well I thought, not every finger spinner can be like Swann I'm afraid
Yeah he wasn't too shabby but I didn't mean he was poor just that you need a wicket taker not a containment spinner. Tbf, he's just a young un and most spinners take years to mature.

I thought he was ok - and on a turning wicket he might prove to be a handful. Not a front-line spinner at the moment but he's only 19 with his whole career in front of him. I'm willing to bet he becomes a main-line batsman though.

It was awesome but we bowled some turd at him too and I reckon you'd swap him for a more penetrating spinner any day.
I thought Agar bowled very good today. He"ll bowl a lot worse than that and take wickets.I"m impress by what I"ve seen from Agar.Certainly the most talented spinner since Warne.Spun the ball quite abit today. He is only 19 so he isn"t the finish article but watching Agar bowl is like watching Daniel Vettori.Certainly we have an all rounder in the making.

1. Agar was out stumped for sure
2. Gutted for him :( Been a fan since PEWS chose to become a huge Ashton Turner fanboy.
3. Thought Trott smashed his LBW but I've not seen snicko so probably wrong about that one
4. How does Agar get sooooo much turn and bounce from his seam position at times? It's all over the shop and rags.
5. I love the Ashes

My daughter just asked me if Australia were on Germany's side in World War Two.

Evidently they look the type.

She also asked me if I would support Australia if I was Australian. She looked a tad concerned when I told her that actually, if I was Australian I would drown myself

She doesn't actually understand cricket yet, mind. No Burgeinho, evidently.
