Look I think its getting beyond silly when you start saying our fans are better than your fans. If people stop posting its usually bcos someone else is capitalising on their team's good fortune a little too much.Evidence is there for all to see over the last 20 odd years. England fans have traveled in massive numbers supporting what was a **** team for the most part. Still payed their money and sung their songs right to end of every thrashing.
Sydney, 2007. At the end of that test England fans were the last to leave the SCG.....Thousands of them singing....
We're 5-0 down, but we're having a laugh.
Now lets compare that to the Aussie fans during 2010/11.........
I think you get what I'm saying
100% agree with you, it is totally silly, because it is a non debate......Eng fans > Aus fans.Look I think its getting beyond silly when you start saying our fans are better than your fans.
Eighth you meanIts "Eigth thread" GIMH you son of a bitch
By jingo you think you're right.100% agree with you, it is totally silly, because it is a non debate......Eng fans > Aus fans.
We can argue till the cows come home whether Siddle is better than Broad or if Bell is indeed a spud......all debatable points. On the question of who's got the better supporter group, it's not even up for discussion......Aus lose.
Got to be Compton.
Who would open then?
Can't add much more to it than this, really.Root.
By Jingo, you're right.By jingo you think you're right.
It's a great thing that our biggest concern is an opener with 2 hundreds to his name and an ave of 36..........that's better than every batsmen bar one that last took the field for Australia.I never ever ever wish injury on any player but a broken finger to Compo a week before the first ashes test might not be the worst thing to happen as long as KP is fit and ready.
Compton averages under 32.It's a great thing that our biggest concern is an opener with 2 hundreds to his name and an ave of 36..........that's better than every batsmen bar one that last took the field for Australia.
By Jingo, you're right.
About as crap as Hughes and Cowan then isn't he?Compton averages under 32.
Honestly, I would probably take those two over Compton. Might not be a huge difference between Compton and Cowan but I think Cowan has demonstrated he is more likely to get runs in test cricket. Hughes for all his issues still has a load more potential than both.About as crap as Hughes and Cowan then isn't he?
Well if we are using stats as the sole guide Australia has Clarke, Warner, Hughes, Cowan, Watson, Wade, Haddin and Starc averaging higher than two of England's current top 6.About as crap as Hughes and Cowan then isn't he?
You're right, cricinfo is a game behind.Compton averages under 32.
