Not really.

Everyone acknowledges that Johnson is capable of pulling an outstanding performance out of his arse. It's happened a couple of times at the WACA.

But people also realise that he more often than not can not find that outstanding performance, and instead simply plays like arse.

but I'd sooner have Johnson than Cutting, Starc or Pattinson. He will be a loss if those are his only potential replacements, IMO.
