Alan Knott (Mainly because I don't think I'd chose Botham in my AT England XI (Hammond and Grace are perfectly adequate. If I wanted Botham, I would have chosen Ames).

I agree. Botham's most natural position in an ATG team is No.7 (No.6 is too high for his ability against a trio of ATG pace bowlers) where he fits suitably as the third seamer and allrounder. In which case either Knott or Ames will do.
