Brodie Smith will be a massive gun in a couple of years. Best game of his career by a mile.

Feel like Freo would have smashed us if Pavlich showed up though. Would be happy to be vaguely competitive next week.

**** Collingwood are ordinary.

The worst thing is going to be howardj coming in here spruiking "Kerr-y". Most unlikable ****ing team with the worst ****ing fans.

Way prefer when the umpires just let the boys play, as they've tended to tonight, but as a neutral* fan I just feel they've been far too lenient in general.

***** i hate collingwood, ****s.

Umpiring was awful both ways, I've said it before and I'll repeat it, the holding the ball rule needs to be sorted. It's a disgrace how the person who wants the ball can be penalised so regularly.
The holding the ball/incorrect disposal situation in the AFL at the moment is an absolute farce.
Stand by it.

Daisy Thomas left the ball on the ground with about three minutes left, for Krak to pick up.

How did it work out for NRL when they used the system years ago? Now 50 of the last 52 preliminary finalists in the AFL have finished in the top 4.

Again, think the rest will be massive, two tough games to take the legs out of their opposition. Even though Adelaide have an 8 day break, the difference in class will tell, and the Pies have had to work very hard tonight to get the points. Only their good record against the Swans - and their group has proven to be very resilient in the past, under a different coach - makes me think that they could get up. Still tipping the Swans though.

I sense the Melbourne-based AFL media are going to be pretty nauseating this week.

Tbh I can't recall what the ratio of top four sides making prelims was when the NRL last used this system mate. I suspect the top four may have dominated though mate.

No idea where you get the idea of AFL media being biased towards Melbourne teams, just totally untrue. Interstate players in the past have enjoyed a lower profile in the, but that's hardly the case any more.

Even weirder is that you're saying that from Sydney. I mean when was the last time you picked up a Sydney newspaper and they had something about any other AFL team other than the Swans? Some of the journalism from some of the AFL writers in the SMH and Tele is atrocious.
