Even weirder is that you're saying that from Sydney. I mean when was the last time you picked up a Sydney newspaper and they had something about any other AFL team other than the Swans? Some of the journalism from some of the AFL writers in the SMH and Tele is atrocious.
They barely covered the first final Sydney played itbt. Was disappointing.

Anyone else think it's a bit unsettling to have the journos grilling the selection panel in front of the players? They should've done the grilling after, the journos can't exactly say 'yeah this **** shouldn't have made AA'.

How the **** did Pav not make it? And Nic Nat shouldn't be the ruckman.

Agree with Mike re: panel being seduced by excitement.

Same with Rioli too I suspect. And probably Franklin.

Cotch and Lids? Hell yeah. This is the greatest AA team since Bowden got named centre half back in 2006

Seems my Brownlow bet on Jack is looking even rougher than when I made it a couple of months back, after the AA team was announced. Though there are so many quality midfielders it was always going to be hard for him to grab a spot.

The 'if it didn't happen in Victoria it didn't happen postulate' still holds amongst the flat earth media in Melbourne. He's a chance to win it for sure.
