***Official*** New Zealand in India 2012

Days of Grace

International Captain
Once again we let a team off the hook. Even if it got massively easier for batting, it is still disappointing. Boult the pick of the bowlers. Kid has got massive potential to be a world-class bowler.

My prediction for tomorrow is for a dropped catch off Dhoni from the new ball, and India to cruise to 430.

We get bowled out for 169, leaving India a very small chase on the 4th day.

Only saw the end of the second session and the third session but agreed about Boult. He looked very good.

Kruger move up 2 metres you ****.
Hate to say I said so, but I actually enjoy it.

And I read earlier in the thread that a couple of people said Kruger's dismissal was a good ball? Crazy business. Absolutely abysmal shot that led to the procession.

So, given our next test series is in Sri Lanka, who should make way for Vettori?

Tough decision imo.
Probably Franklin. If team management have no qualms with Franklin playing at six they shouldn't have one with Vettori IMO, especially in Sri Lanka where he's had success with the bat (and ball tbf.)

Blah, blah, blah that isn't fair on Franklin. Since coming back into international cricket as a "batting all rounder" he's been next to hopeless for this team, with bat and especially ball. Averages 21 with a single 50 and a whopping 140 with the ball, offering next to no control either. Dean Brownlie is probably just as much as an all rounder as Franklin is tbh, and I'm kind of being half serious when I say that.

I wouldn't play Patel either tbf, drop him and play the four seamers. Still looks the same Jeetan Patel that averages nigh on 50 to me, and at least with bringing in Wagner we'll have a decent tail. Bracewell, Wagner, Southee, Boult. On most occasions you'll get some pretty decent runs out of that lot.
