I can't stand Broad's over-appealing. This is what the Australian team of the 2000's must have been like, I'd guess
Yeah, him and Brett Lee share that tendency to celebrate to two thirds down the wicket, before turning around and appealing just to be nice.

It's all a bit funnier these days with reviews though.

Better over that from Broad.

Without doubt this is the best day for batting so far this test.

I used to hate it, but now it no longer bothers me. No umpire worth his salt will 'fall' for it.

For me, and it was the same with Lee and McGrath who did it at times too, it's a lack of respect thing, rather than about conning the umpire.

EDIT: referring to running down the pitch without looking at the umpire and celebrating, rather than turning around and appealing for LBWs.

Yes I think it was on the cards with how the tail was playing, disappointing to say the least but it's always the same at Lords, if you don't have overcast conditions it can be very flat.

Strauss is better than that when it comes to reviews but that was a bad one and it was his own call as well.

Almost as if the amount of spin had him fooled.

Utterly ridiculous review, and you don't want to lose one before taking the first wicket. Smith must have missed that by a good couple of inches.
