We can do two polls a day. With a 24 hour time limit.

So that means there will be one game from Group A and one from Group B on Matchday 1, and so on.

But before that, everyone please post a summary of your team in this thread with a few details about every player that can be posted in the poll to tell the voters about the team in case they don't know them.

Also, now that you know your opponents you can write a few facts that involve the individual battles between batsmen and bowlers of the two teams or your strategy against that team.

Once we have the summaries posted here we can start with the polls.

The venue will be a fictional venue that is as balanced as possible. So that no one gets any advantage due to the wicket being spin friendly or a green top or a flat track. So just write about what the players are capable of doing regardless of the help from the pitch.

It's something Aldo came up with the idea of - instead of the traditional 12-man poll, he's doing 3-man polls, semi-finals and a final

Excellent pick from Blakus. Actually taught at my primary school for a period after he retired, and worked there up until his untimely death whilst playing for Surrey Seniors. Delighted to see him picked - great man.

Actually considered him the previous round. His part-time legspin and cover fielding make him a valuable addition to any side
