Well, surely then he just needs to say he didn't send them, and not have to apologise? What are the chances that he didn't actually send any 'nasty' texts and that it's all just an enormous media blowout? Pietersen certainly doing the right thing and not apologizing if that's the case
why? How are we involved? did we leak the story? I didn't realise we did. could you point that out?I think he was asked to explain them, he didn't, was given 6 hours to do so too.
Really think the Saffies part in this stinks to high heaven, if it wasn't a big deal, why tell people about it. KPs so-called IPL friends too. All rather unpleasant from all parties really.
George Dobell said you lot just sort of mentioned it to the press. Not the ECB this time.why? How are we involved? did we leak the story? I didn't realise we did. could you point that out?
If it was a presser, obviously he wasn't asked before then.George Dobell said you lot just sort of mentioned it to the press. Not the ECB this time.
Also funny that this statement about it not being a big deal, comes after KP is axed isn't it?
Could have still released a statement to the press, y'know he's had some time, if he thought it was all an over-reaction.If it was a presser, obviously he wasn't asked before then.
Why? It doesn't concern him, really.Could have still released a statement to the press, y'know he's had some time, if he thought it was all an over-reaction.
Well, it was them who released it to the press, and if it didn't really cocern him, he could have said no comment. It's stirring, IMHO.Why? It doesn't concern him, really.
I was wondering how they do it - personally I could see Taylor to 4 and Bairstow 6 as the right thing, but wouldn't be shocked by Bell 4, Taylor 5, Bairstow 6.Looking on this with a positive (and moving on) slant, it does offer an opportunity for someone like Jonny Bairstow to come in and impress, the batting line-up may need a shuffle, though probably not ideal to have Bairstow and Taylor together in the order, hope Bell moves up to four though. Possibly bat Prior at six and Bairstow at seven.
Not sure what your getting at here, if he had done that, at the same time he released the youtube vid, I would have believed him, I was willing to take that vid as truth, would have been the perfect time to do it. The fact he hasn't denied it until now, would make me suspicious now, I'd admit.Am I the only one that thinks if Pietersen did release a statement saying the texts weren't about Flower/Strauss, none of you would believe him?
'ere lad http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/cr...ts-Andrew-Strauss-England-days-look-over.htmlWhere's that from?
Who knows, in the end we need to bowl them out twice to win, this doesn't really affect that, despite KPs wickets in the last match. Could galvanise them, and I've long been an advocate of five bowlers, so this maybe a way to do it. The damage already done in the dressing room, so I think as much chance as us combusting with KP in there.Anyone else predicting an absolute flop from England this test? Not trolling here, I just can't see them succeeding if this supposed 'rift' is actually true, let alone without their best player.
hmm the Daily Fail, well could be right I suppose, not a great lover of the source though. All this stuff about deleting the texts, probably means KP could have denied it, but if he didn't know....'ere lad Kevin Pietersen cannot deny sending texts about Andrew Strauss, so England days look over | Mail Online
and that the saffers are distancing themselves is quite natural. They have a series to go about winning, I don't expect them to want to contribute to the debate until after the series if at all. The damage to england is done, job done for saffers
but I maintain that if they were to play poorly and lose this test, it'd be a choke.
