Well, at 37 he should perhaps retire. But are NZ's youth cricket resources so poor that they need him to continue on, and on and on?

I think it's up to Dan to call it quits, and he's the sort of guy who would if he's dragging the chain.
What the???

Dan Vett.....

Wha????

You're saying the man who feeds on failure, the man whose lifeblood is his own inability to take wickets, the man whose life support is willful non-contribution...

This has to be the most flamboyantly direct-opposite-of-reality thing I've....

I can't even finish these sentences it's so ridicu....

NZ looking very flat here, it must be said. Look like they're bowling for the declaration. Sammy deposited Vettori onto the road there with a minimum of fuss.

Brings up his (Vettori's) ton.

Another meaningless wicket for Martin...

Lazt shot from Deo, but it does look like it shaped back in very slightly or at worst held its line.

If there was ever an example to the WICB as to why they needed to get their domestic pitches up to scratch by any means possible, it was Narsingh Deonarine. He's played all his cricket in an environment where scoring 30 is a good contribution and scoring 70 is a huge effort because the overall totals are so low, and it shows whenever he bats. No long-term concentration at all. Not to mention the fact that he probably spends just as much time on his bowling as he does his batting because the domestic pitches and the standard of the batting make him look like Laker. Really talented cricketer made mediocre by circumstance and poor infrastructure IMO.

Beauty from Martin; squared up Sammy but beat the edge.

"A very, very good delivery" sez Curtly. Praise from Caesar indeed.

If you want it caught, catch it yourself. Sammy spoons up the ugliest of mows and Vettori makes decent ground to pocket it.

Martin could not even send the ball to other end.... bowling at 120's and the tail joyfully defending FFS

I have to say I think this will be one of those tests were the pitch will look a lot less placid when the team with the lead bowls.

Just look at Vettori scrambling desperately for the last wicket to pad his figures. What an embarrassment. Is he still captaining?
