**Official** New Zealand in West Indies

Yes definitely looked like it took a bit of van Wyk's glove on the way through to Ramdin. Lucky boy.

Williamson just didn't look committed to that stroke which enabled the ball the chance to work its way though a defence that wasn't as tight as it should have been. Disappointing, but the new ball's done the trick.

New Zealand really do need to get to at least 320 from here. It seems a long way away.

The bad news is that Vettori's so bad against right arm off spin generally that I fancy I'd probably get him out early. Narine will be licking his lips.
The good news is that this deck should really suit his batting so if he can find a way of negating Narine he could make a quick 50.

Van Wyk's scored one of the streakiest sixes I've seen, judged by the highlights. Really looks to be lost against short pitched pace.

Short leg way too deep, ftr.

As an Englishman it's weird seeing someone play a sweep effectively against a spinner, but Dan Vet's is rock solid.

Meanwhile Sammy doing his "looking like a piss poor excuse for a first change test seamer" thang. 117kmh that last one, which my calc tells me is 72mph in old money.

Tempted to make another Hall of Shame, this one being about people who've actually got out to Darren Sammy

That 320 I was talking about looks likely now though, even though we can't really expect anything at all after the next wicket.

FMD. We've well and truly thrown this game away. 222 for 2 into 307 for 8 on this pitch is only something NZ could manage.

I reckon 308-8 is still a good 1st innings score on this track. If NZ bowlers apply themselves well and they will be in driving seat in this test.. am I thinking too far?

It's a pretty tricky pitch IMO; 320 will put you in a good position.

KVW gets out as I type so you won't reach that but it's a par score at the least IMO; just need to actually bowl well now.
