Philander is swing bowler like Anderson and Steyn, whereas Broad is better at using the pitch. He was the only one in UAE who was regularly getting wickets by seaming the ball.

Btw I don't think it's conclusive at this point that Philander is a better bowler than Broad. Can certainly understand, or expect, that it would be a majority opinion, but to state it as an unarguable fact is wrong, IMO.
it's a bit difficult to say, because really, we're basing it off 1-2 good years/7-10 good matches

phil hughes yet to be seen without a hat on his head.

edit Matt Mason looking good

Yeah Philander is more of a seam bowler than Broad tbh, who is a more "mixed" bowler who tends to change his MO a bit depending on conditions

History of wanting to leave venues early I see.

Must be a result of you being an Eels supporter. Always wanting to go at half time.
Interestingly, September of the same year marked the third in a row I'd been to the SCG on grand final day to watch the Eels towel a hapless Manly outfit. Was a historic day in Australian sporting history as Bob Hawke addressed the crowd. He remains to this day the only politician I've ever heard get a unanimous ovation at an Australian sporting event.

Never forget the 81 GF when the boys kicked promotional footies into the crowd and my grandmother leapt high over the pack to grab the one Sterlo kicked. We were sitting next to the Bob Stand. Was a top grab.

such a top bloke. If there was one success story I would like to see come to fruition for the Aus team over the next few years, it would be Phil Hughes.
frankly he seems like a moody ****

which means he seems like my kinda guy

Phil Hughes isn't someone you'd normally associate with the 'good bloke' tag itbt. Very focused individual, but is still polite.

That's the first time I've seen a (Test) scorecard in which every single player in a side had a bowl. ABdV even got two wickets, wtf.

Hahahaha and Boucher got one! Rob, upload pronto

He's seriously decent. I'm really surprised they're his only First Class wickets, although I suppose he's done his fair share of wicket keeping, and South African domestic cricket isn't exactly short of batsmen who bowl useful seamers.

One of Broad's best assets IMO
For sure, except when his MO becomes "completely lose your run up and bowl 10kmh slower than you really should be" which is what seems to have happened increasingly this 'summer'
