nah, in these conditions against this bowling, he could get a snorter anytime, thrash, and thrash hard, for me.
Nah, got Prior at the other end. Doesn't need to do anything and they'll go at 5-6 an over. He's gotten out too many times in the last 2-3 years because he doesn't earn the right to play shots.

Yeah we see too many 20s and 30s from Swann and not enough substantial innings. Only a minor quibble but something he could improve on.

I think that's the difference between him and someone like Bresnan. I'd back Bres to able to play a big innings if he gets in. Swann is more of a cameo player.

Well, he normally bats 8, 9 or 10, and 20 or 30 runs from those positions is invaluable. You can't expect regular 50's from those batting positions IMO.

The world's No.1 bowler has gone for 8 then 10 runs in his last two overs. Almost conceded the ton in this game.

I don't think he is fully match fit / ready.

As good as SA have been today you would far rather be England at present knowing that SA will have to bat extremely well to stay in the game. Anything over 250 to win in the last innings will be tough.

They've strayed a lot on leg stump this session, I would be a bit frustrated if I was a saffie fan.

Surely is carrying an injury, was a twitter rumour before the game and he only bowled 5 overs this morning despite looking great. Why else would you not bowl him again if he was't injured as if it was a case of him needing overs you would bowl him if only to get him ready for Headingley.

Think they're trying to bowl very straight at Prior. It hasn't been too bad for them though. Prior has just been getting singles square instead of the boundaries he'd be looking for with number 10 at the other end (no disrespect to Swanny)

Reckon it's just because Steyn has been searching for the swing he was getting before, but now that the conditions have blown over it's just not there anymore
