Playing in foreign conditions with zero time to acclimatise probably has something to do with it.

People from Australia and the Caribbean don't like rain

So without reinforcements, team on Tuesday looks like being

Warner
Wade
Forrest
Clarke
Bailey
Dussey
Johnson
Mckay
Pattinson
Hilf
Doherty/Smith - if the latter, he moves to 7

Not enough batting, all bar one of the bowlers are either lacking match fitness or not good enough

When the pressures on and we face some real opposition then I'm sure they will tighten up. How many of that Aussie side would get into England's. Watson and Clarke are the only ones I can see.

Watson is a liability for Oz atm so I'm not sure how true that is

Anyway, I wouldnt get too carried away as there are some pretty big holes in the Eng side as well

People have to realise that Oz are only no.1 because we dominated ODIs for 20 years and built up a massive points bank
That reveals a problem with the ranking system then. Australia have been struggling relative to the dominant years in ODIs for a couple of years now. So how is it that Aus is still No. 1?

Surely the system should reflect much more current form.

That's not true.

Dalrymple and Yardy were more competent than Doherty
Sorry but that is rubbish

Despite the fact that Doherty has been poor in 2 matches here, his overall record is very good

It's like saying that Broad or Bresnan are better ODI players than Johnson - simply doesnt stand up to any scrutiny whatsoever

Norwood's on Fire
If there was a WC at home anytime soon we'd be massive favourites but there's still a lot of work needed away from home as far as I can tell.

Conditions in Oz/NZ will be more favourable for us than the last WC mind and we play ODIs in both countries in the next three years. It's fantastic to see how well we've done at home in the last few years - I still think back to Sri Lanka at home in 06 and cringe - but ultimately ODIs are about World Cups and we're not a side that will win WCs until we are doing it outside of England.

All that being said, it is fantastic to see how turd Australia are.

Have a look at their records

He has better records in BOTH batting and bowling than either

Seriously, you guys need to start watching some cricket that doesnt involve England
