***Official*** Australia in England 2012

1) Bopara is a patchy performer & a dozy tw*t - I'd happily discard him.
2) Cook has mainly faced pretty ordinary new ball bowling since his return to the side, with the likes of Malinga & Gul being old ball specialists - that makes quick scoring a lot easier for him. This summer will probably give us a much better idea of what he's actually capable of.
3) The same is probably true of Bell.
4) I'm not particularly convinced by Tredwell, but he's more of a specialist bowler than Patel - he's probably the best of a pretty ordinary bunch (sans Swann).
We're talking ODIs here & I'm not just talking about Australia - can you see him averaging 50+ at a strike rate of 90+ over the course of this series & the next one against the Saffers?
Worst logic.

There's some ridiculously heavy squall moving through the North right now, according to my impeccable sources in the region.

Honestly, you ****s are kidding yourselves with this weather. It'll be the first modern Olympiad to be washed out.

****ing dire.
We don't control it you know. The weather does watever it likes.

But it is dire, I agree.

Not sure I agree, sure SA have a good one day bowling side but I wouldn't put it as the best or the benchmark. I think Cook in particular has proved he can score off every kind of bowling since he's come back into the side and I'd back him against Steyn and Morkel in one day cricket.

Only had 2 chances against Oz, got a 40 but still 20 odd games isn't that small a sample to get a good idea of how his games improved since his return.

The jury maybe out for some but he's well and truly shut the doubters up.

There's a lot of standing water about here about 20 miles away from Chester-le-Street. About as bad as I can remember. If there's no problem with that on the outfield tomorrow they should get the game in. Rain has pretty much stopped.
