See Jason Gillespie who had a bowling style not entirely disimilar to Cummins
Yeah, exactly who I had in mind. Once he stopped picking up various strains, was actually quite injury-free for years despite picking up even more pace.

IIRC, Cummins is a bit more solid than young Dizzy was but both contorted themselves in the delivery stride

Having said that, I thought Cummins's action looked pretty good the other night and a big improvement over SA

Pringle has just said he was (allegedly, etc) wearing a back brace in the first ODI, so it's quite possibly an existing niggle he exacerbated.

So Johnson and Forrest in for Cummins and Smith and Dernbach for Anderson.

Australia win toss and bat.

Australia already look stronger with Smith out the side.

International Debutant
When we were in SA and Shaun Pollock was commentating he said that Cummins' action meant he could be prone to injury. Then Fanie de Villiers came on and said the same thing.

****, just noticed Johnson is playing instead of Pattinson.

That's rather disappointing.

dernbach for anderson and forrest for smith is about a 400 run turnaround for us. should win by 385 then

Fancy oz here with Dernbach guaranteed to go for about 80 on a good batting wicket, our batting line-up will struggle to get 300 plus.

Why do Sky's team lists only show the number of runs made and best score - but not caps won? Irrelevant for the bowlers.

The world is in a sorry state when the English ODI side is in form.

Bring back the days of Vaughan and Plunkett.

such a good **** you named your first class comp after him
He's named after our comp tbf. Pretend the Plunket in question is good, watch it let you down in spectacular fashion, shuffle it away and hope people forget this is the standard your future test caps are facing.
