**Official** West Indies in England 2012

It's not about "suiting our needs", it's about preparing a pitch that suits BOTH TEAMS so we can have a good contest, what are england gonna learn from this series exactly? you'll doctor the pitches and push ropes back, win 3-0 and then when it comes to playing a decent team on more even terms like India away you'll get embarrassed again!!, that's what England can't seem to fathom.
We didn't doctor anything as far as I'm concerned. If the conditions naturally suit our needs, then so be it. It's part of the advantage of playing at home. Like you said India aren't gonna prepare pitches that give us an even advantage to them, so why should we do it when we play at home?

In fact we have a hilarious record of preparing pitches that suit the opposition. Remember when Murali got 16 wickets at the Oval?

We didn't move the ropes back. We just didn't move the forward. Like I said if we moved the ropes in you would have said it was a cowardly move so that the likes of Bell could launch sixes.

Also preparing a flat track isn't an anomaly FFS! Nearly all tracks for ODI's are roads, because that creates lots of runs which the fans want. It really isn't that hard to comprehend.

And clearly your's did as well as you managed to draw the ODI's against a much inferior Aussies side a few months ago. You prepared raging turners so that Narine would cause problems. 8-)
Add to that, I'm not sure how much influence a groundsman can have on a wicket that's been under water for a few days and has rained every day for several weeks, they just tend to do the best they can. He can't watch many one-dayers in England because for the most the pitches are exactly like this, obviously weather depending.

Some serious toy throwing been done by WW and his accusations have now gone beyond cringe-worthy, the dude's just on a wind up by the looks of things but of course he can pass it off as his opinion.

In fact we actually got the same score at the Rose Bowl against India in 2007. We must have had a huge advantage by preparing a flat track then as well 8-)

IMO it stinks of cowardice when it's against a team ranked lower than yours!!, furthermore we went to India in december and pitches were fine, infact we put up a great fight in all but one of the games and even managed to win one, i guess India were confident in their own abilities :D .

So you're saying this England ODI is obviously better than the WI one? I wouldn't at all feel that way tbh.

Gone, that's why Swanny finally came out of hiding!! .
If Smith was gonna belt Swann all over the park why did he get out trying to smack the spinners?

Such a pointless argument seeing as you got totally thrashed. Ropes could have been anywhere and you would still have got gubbed. Better side won on the day, end of. Get over it and look forward to the next game.

How can he look forward to another game of doctored pitches and boundaries? 8-) After all, the Oval pitch might actually be good for batting. :surprise:

Well i'm going by the RANKINGS, which have England ahead right now.

What you talking about? he got out knicking a high ball against Bresnen!! , Swann didn't seem to have the guts to face him at the time despite the pacers all getting hit around the place.

How can Swann be hiding though seeing as he isn't captain?

Your captain hid by not bowling his full quota.

He played a reckless hook shot. I wonder how regularly Swann has come on in powerplays with a ball that's 8 overs old? He must be scared of every opening batsmen in world cricket. 8-)

No need to cry, i have my opinion, you have yours, i just felt it was cowardly tactics by your team as they are at home and are ranked higher than us, you wanna carry on moving ropes and producing roads for odi's? fine, but it won't win you a world cup anytime soon.

Might not but seeing as next world cup is in Australia on massive grounds with hard bouncy pitches then why not replicate it as best we can.

The 25 overs with each ball may help us along anyway with our pace bowling resources. Probably our best chance in a world cup since last one in Australia/NZ. Not saying we will win it but with our attack rule nothing out.

Well those "fair" pitches you produced at home haven't seemed to win you a world cup for a while. Or even a test series for that matter.

There was near to no doctoring, and even if it was it's nothing new. Why don't you spare us and go and crucify South Africa or India for occasionally preparing a track that helped them more than the opposition.
