Might be the latter. But I don't think it's the first time he's looked iffy at the start of his innings. It's just what he does, before going on to bat for another five hours.

Yes he often starts a bid dodgy, did at Lords.

Feel for Bresnan, normally it is the tail that give you cheap wickets but he is missing out on bowling at the top order every time.

Broad would walk into most sides since I consider him one of the best bowlers. But to compare him to Imran is just ridiculous.
Though I agree wholeheartedly, I won't be that surprised if such a comparison will become a fair thing in time. Broad is probably the most improved cricketer ever. For the last 2,5 years he has averaged 24 with the ball. And I can see his batting grow further as well.
