With various laying off I thought I'd just about broken evening, but the glorious Irish controversialist seems to have paid out the £200 too.

The Champions League, pretty much irrelevant to proving anything of significance except you can beat random Euro teams from time to time in-between the proper football

I reckon that cheapens it. I don't like Chelsea but they did some amazing things to get to the final. Amazing character to keep plugging along when the opposition (Barca and Bayern) are just pummelling you. Drogba, Cole and Cech were awesome.

Good question. I think all 4 English sides make the group stages as there's usually an automatic place reserved for the holders anyway.

Good work. I pretty much doubled my money on the Final with a pretty safe bet I think. It was time of first goal

Lampard was surprisingly non-commital when Geoff Shreeves asked him if Bobby should get the job on a permanent basis after the game. Said something like "That's not a question for tonight".

I personally think it'd be a massive kick in the crotch to him if they brought someone else in now. Winning the CL has being Uncle Roman's obsession since he purchased the club and Di Matteo has delivered it with the FA Cup for good measure.

I think Di Matteo has done a marvellous job extracting the last drops of success from Mourinho's team buttheir league form is a truer indication of where Chelsea are. They did need an injection of fresh blood and I'm not convinced Di Matteo is the right man going forward.
