Kallis has been alrightwith the ball iirc. He's been terrible in the top order though, he's lucky his direness has been masked by Gambhir.

Yeah there's no evidence of cheating in the IPL, but they agreed to do it and its even happened in Tests. Not surprising but horrible to contemplate, like we might be tripping on poop.
Ever a fan of Cheech & Chong?

It seemed, at least on this forum, that foreign nationals were more into the IPL than Indians.

Just seen the McCullum dismissal, what a shocker. Pitched outside leg, going down off and McCullum was half way down the wicket, no surprised though as it was Doctrove.

What a muppet Doctrove is, gives a shocker to McCullum and a plumb decision against Tendulkar not out.

Ownage.

I try and turn the cricket on when I know Narine is bowling

Also real douche move by kallis demolishing the stumps with the batsman way in and then just walking off to let the umpire clean up his ****.

Gezz this Narine kid is good, when Tendulkar hasn't a clue you know you have something special, can only hope WI cricket don't screw him up.

Well to be fair Tendulkar didn't have a clue against Mendis either.

But the difference is Narine really gives the ball a rip, you can't play him like a medium pacer.

You would have done better if you had watched that series. Sachin and Sehwag were the only guys reading him. It was Murali who was taking him out in that series. Narine though has been real good. His offspinner turns quite a bit.

Yes, Narine has been superb. Definitely turns it more than Mendis, makes me think he'll be a handful even if people could read him perfectly.

By not giving Tendulkar as plumb as you would get ever, Doctrove has cemented his IPL umpiring for the rest of his life. Plus its infront of home crowd, Mumbai and Tendulkar even missed his all important parliament oath because of this match, so yeah you can't give the man out on golden duck two in a row

Pollard and Smith are same type of players, these two can't play together with a similar sort of role. Mumbai can't drop Pollard, so Smith has to be axed or only place for him is opening slot. Also Bhajji definitely has to sit out, only a role of captaincy can't be enough. He doesn't even bowl 4 overs. Some terrible weak links in Mumbai team and Harsha Bhogle, so called Cricket expert, lands an opinion that MI shouldn't change nothing. Way to go Harsha

That wasn't Doctrove, it was the Indian umpire Sudhir Asnani. Doctrove did make his own error later on against Tendulkar though. The quality of umpiring in this tournament has been appalling. Most of the international umpires seem too relaxed and don't seem to be completely focused whilst the local Indian umpires are just totally crap (they're trying their best but try as they might, they still remain abysmal). This combination of a lack of total concentration and absolute ineptitude has resulted in numerous wrong decisions with regards to LBWs, missed no-balls, going upstairs for run-outs that are blatantly in/out, wides being called incorrectly and the umpires calling over when there is still a ball to be bowled. It has just been embarrassing, to be honest. I don't know what it is about this IPL because while the cricket has been entertaining and closely contested, the overall quality has been very poor.

There is something about Brendon McCullum that inspires umpires to give horrendous decisions against him. He's far from the least likeable guy around, I can't fathom what it is. Maybe the manner of shots he plays, but he's hardly a Lone Ranger there.

That lbw last night was beyond awful. Umpires sometimes seems to have a big issue with 'beyond doubt', and that's from a bowler. Reminds me of one a few years ago in Bangladesh, where Ashocker de Silva gave McCullum to one that was too high, wide and hit him outside.

Yeah, this.

Sachin and Sehwag were the only ones reading Mendis, initially.
