He's a good all-rounder, with great lungs. I'd say his notable skill is recycling of the ball. Getting it from turnover or in a high-pressed situation and turning it into a comfortable position for us on the ball by picking the smartest option.
All of this is just total management speak.

That's pretty much it. ITV's graphic showed the majority, even the vast majority, was over, but not quite the entirity.

Does kinda show that goal line technology isn't going to be a panacea too; there's always going to be some debate.

Better than what we have right now tho, obvz.
ESPN's showed the whole thing as over; proves your point about technology of anything.

He's also English.

As for the goal; I would love to whinge about it since Chelsea, stupidly*, keep complaining about the CL semi a while ago. But on the coverage I saw you couldn't be 100% about it crossing the line. I'd love technology to step in, in this instance. It is there, it can solve problems, and the federations can surely afford it. It's just stubborn stupidity atm.

*(had it not crossed the line they would have been a man down and we'd have had a penalty according to the ref himself).

We have, IIRC, the highest shots on goal ratio in the EPL, amongst the most chances made and have hit the post some 30+ times to boot. We have a poor conversion rate for chances to goals, which is our fault. But it was not because we don't commit enough men in the box. Today's game is nothing like the first half of the season where we utterly dominated most matches.
Shots doesn't mean anything if they're just hopeful long distance efforts - which is quite likely to happen if you have nothing on in front of you. Which is what regularly happens whenever I've seen Liverpool this season. There's no precision or commitment, it's just hopeful - lump it into the general area where they'll be 1-2 Liverpool players to 4+ defenders.

I don't think it's bad luck when you don't finish your chances, it's poor finishing. But it's not true that Liverpool have just had long range efforts this season.

You can make any assertions you want - like we need to finish better - but ones saying we don't get enough men forward or don't make enough chances are just wrong.

Up until Jan-Feb we were still dominating matches and weren't getting the points our general play would usually garner. From then on though, we have been poor; but let that not make people think we have been playing the same way the whole year.

I guess that really depends on how involved he was for the transfers and who he has lined up now. In all honesty, I am not sure I wanted him in charge next year but I wonder what damage it may do if does leave, especially if we go for someone worse - like Hodgson - again.

In my dreams it is Bielsa, Hiddink or Rafa. :p

Agree with Ikki that goal line calls like this should be referred to a higher regulator.

Oh and it certainly wasn't over the line IMO.
Spearing is god awful.
Drogba and Ramires both had better games than Mata.

And people go on about Suarez having no class... etc etc.
Gonna compare that light-hearted truth with calling someone a rat? Had nothing to do with you anyway, not sure why you'd reply. Still a bit sore, perhaps.

Spearing is way below the required standard for the prem. Liverpool have missed Lucas a fair bit I guess.

The non-goal quite clearly had some of the ball still on the line, no? Only just realised there was a debate when reading through the thread.

Corrin reckons ESPN's graphic showed it as over; on ITV though you're correct. It was a v small part of the ball, but regardless some of it wasn't over the line.

There isn't a debate for me, not all over the line, and you've got to be sure.
