Funny thing is the ball so much as touches the lines on the outside of the pitch and they nearly always give it as out with pressure from the crowd.

Anti-Liverpool comments on here pretty hilarious. And you speak about Suarez having no class...

We were brilliant second half, but Chelsea deserved the win. Wanted it more early on.

Dire first half, second half was entertaining. Have a feeling Carroll just played his way to the Euros, incredible display from him. Want to see the 'goal' again

Gave a very dignified and sensible interview as well, raised my opinion of him somewhat.

Yes, too close to give it. Only Kuyt was playing on and trying to tap it in, which is disappointing.

Kenny got the starting line-up wrong. Pitted Suarez by himself against a defence that held Barca. When Carroll came the game changed and we dominated. Thought he should have scored another, and it would have been a brilliant match had it got to ET.

I realise Kenny will get another year, and it's fair enough IMO. The results don't show it but for most of the year we played very well, we dominated, but we simply lacked luck. Unless you've watched our games regularly you'll think that's a cop-out but it isn't in truth. We should have at least 10 more points than we currently do on the league table.

Having said that, if Kenny isn't there next year that's fair enough also. I just think his buys in the next transfer window are crucial. I hope the previous transfers were Comolli's blunders and not Kenny's.

With regards to the (not) goal, I suspect it was probably over the line, but I don't think you could have given it, replay not conclusive for mine.

Luck? Liverpool only play in patches and don't commit enough men into the box aside from dead ball situations. They're where they deserve to be. Today was a good example, they only took a chance when they were 2-0 down.

Because it was over the line?!!
Nope, it was ironically more over the line than Mata's in the semi but still wasn't all in.

Speaking of Mata, not sure I agree with him as MOTM although there wasn't really an outstanding candidate.

Also, if someone could tell me what the point of Jordan Henderson is I'd be much obliged.

We have, IIRC, the highest shots on goal ratio in the EPL, amongst the most chances made and have hit the post some 30+ times to boot. We have a poor conversion rate for chances to goals, which is our fault. But it was not because we don't commit enough men in the box. Today's game is nothing like the first half of the season where we utterly dominated most matches.

The image I just saw on eSPN suggests it was in.

Can understand it not being given but it was a goal.

Not really sure what the debate is about with the goal, the whole ball has to be completely over the line. From the replay it seemed fairly clear to me that some of the ball was still on the line, even if most of it was over.

He's a good all-rounder, with great lungs. I'd say his notable skill is recycling of the ball. Getting it from turnover or in a high-pressed situation and turning it into a comfortable position for us on the ball by picking the smartest option.

He's still young, he'll be good and he'll have role in the team. Amongst our younger midfielders Shelvey is probably the one destined for greater things. If he had more discipline to sit deep or cover for others he'd be playing every game.

That's pretty much it. ITV's graphic showed the majority, even the vast majority, was over, but not quite the entirity.

Does kinda show that goal line technology isn't going to be a panacea too; there's always going to be some debate.

Better than what we have right now tho, obvz.
