My first thought was that the goal was being overrated somewhat, but after watching it a few more times it's clear it's pretty special. It's easy to blame Cech but his instincts were sending him top right. You can see him start to move that way and the ball dips and moves back ridiculously quickly, ending up the exact opposite side of the goal. All in half a second he's thinking "it's going top right, top mid, top left, oh wait it ended up mid left." It's hard to think of a shot I'd like to face less than that as a keeper which is saying something.

I don't think you ever mean for something like that to happen, but I don't think that really matters. We'll never know if he meant it anyway.

Could see it happening once the referee bottled it. Looks like it'll be left to Roy's to become an even bigger favourite in London.

Full time. Gutted :( Could have just thrown away our chances of Champions League football next season, and keeping Robin in the summer.

If they don't qualify, they only have themselves to blame. They've had more than enough chances to sew it up.

If they don't qualify it will be because Chelsea won the Champions League. 3rd has gone now unless Villa grow a backbone.

I quite like Twitter, much of the time. Yet it can be a moaners charter, keep reading about "hurry up with the football, get this rubbish off", look the match was scheduled to start at 5.15, if you don't want to watch the crap before it, tune in then.

A flag depicting John Barnes, and an emotional Scouse lass with an alco-pop. You don't get much more class than this.
