Predictions?

Think the leading cricketer of the year award will be between Cook, Dravid, Clarke, Broad, Anderson, maybe Philander, personally.

No idea who the five will be (beyond Cook and Dravid) given that most of the England side has already been picked.

When is this coming out? It's pretty much based on the English summer, so not really sure to be honest.

EDIT: Dravid hasn't been selected before? Had some great tours of England before this one, that'd be a surprise.

Oh he has. Can't read. EDIT: Praveen Kumar or Prassana Jayawardene for the 5th, then?
Comes out this evening our time, 9am in England.

Have Bell, Prior or Bresnan won it before? They'd have to be a chance of one of the 5 if not. David Masters a smokey for his domestic feats as well - tends to be a county cricketer in there most years.

They gave it to just 4 last time. Maybe could do the same too.

Unless one of the five gets done for spot fixing in the next week or so I'd say that's unlikely.

Cricketer Of The Year
The 'not awarded' was because it would have been Amir, and essentially it was left over in case he was found not guilty but to also make a point. I doubt they'd ever do that again.

Glen Chapple must get it, for sure. Charlotte Edwards surely before she retires, given the precedent set with Taylor... probably needs an Ashes year though. Cook, surprised he hasn't had it already tbh, Bresnan probably too. Praveen Kumar was the stand-out Indian player after Dravid who already won, would quite like him to get it.

How many posts until people complain about it being unfair to only count the English season ?
