I wonder this, but then also wonder if in some cases at Arsenal they were made to look better than they were. How many of the players who left Arsenal who were part of the sides that won anything (and who weren't past their best anyway) have really faltered? Not many tbh, Petit maybe, Edu (but he was never that great anyway)...not as long a list as some would have you believe imo.Yeah, it's also amazing the amount of Arsenal players that leave and never reach the same heights again. It kinda speaks volumes about the chemistry of the Arsenal team IMO, the fact that so many midfield players have fitted in perfectly at the club and had success, but then faded away when going to arguably stronger clubs.
I guess there's the whole big fish in a small pond cliche as well, which might make some average players look really good. I haven't really followed enough title winning Arsenal sides (just the invincibles) to be able to answer your question, but in recent years the likes of Helb and Nasri's careers have definetly gone downhill after leaving Arsenal. I don't really know how Flamini went after he left Arsenal, and I suppose Adebayor has done alright for himself since he left so I guess you could be right.I wonder this, but then also wonder if in some cases at Arsenal they were made to look better than they were. Saw it on the news earlier and Song was lucky to escape serious injuryOne has to wonder if one of the officials saw the Balotelli incident, why on earth he wasn't sent off. The only possible explanation I could think of previously is that it was somehow missed by all of them...but apparently not...
Well, in any event, Mancini has said he's not going to select him for any of City's remaining games this season, so I guess it's kind of immaterial. How long does everyone think Balotelli should be banned for, solely based on that Song tackle? Personally, I'd want him gone for the whole season and possibly more.

Indeed. When Mancini says something like that he never goes back on it.Well, in any event, Mancini has said he's not going to select him for any of City's remaining games this season, so I guess it's kind of immaterial.
