Marc running away with this at the moment.
Jager is in a very good position, although all 10 are neck-to-neck ATM (so neck-to-neck that I have to re-think who is in the best position after every round). Jager is sitting on a pile of cash, and an ATG batsman at his disposal.

Marc has his pace attack and keeper batsman sorted for just 5 million. With 10 million left, he has enough cash to compete for the remaining 7 players. Quite a good position to be in imo.

Marc is in a very good position. He has got good bargain on Turner and Stewart. But I think he overpaid slightly for both Davidson and Bishop.

Last I looked Jager had Miandad?
Yes, has him for a slightly low price IMO.

Comparing the price I paid for Bishop and Davidson to the price paid for Walsh, I'm happy I've not overpaid.

In this kind of game where you don't know who the next 100 players will be, it is not good to save too much, neither is it any good spending too much. Having the right balance is the key. Had I been playing this, I would have gone with a slow but steady pace. Completing my 11 within first 50 rounds may see me sad if good players come later. Similarly, not selecting anyone within first 50 rounds may also see me sad if good players don't come later.

Edit: Not in response to Marc's post above..

What more do you think Walsh could do as a bowler to deserve the amount he got? 500+ test wickets @ 24 with a super-longevity for a fast bowler and an animal-like stamina, average of around 20 (22-23?) in the sub-continent, average of around 20 in the 2nd innings, successes all around the world against some ATG batsmen - aren't these enough?
