Seems like his eloquence is actually slightly more advanced than his footballing abilities. And that really is the best thing I can find to say about him. Horrid man. What a guy.

Approaching your boss in a menacing fashion and shouting at him is in almost every instance, or so I would suggest, inevitably not the right decision.Gerrard was right to do what he did though. The decision had been made as to who was going in goal, a manager on the pitch is never going to end well.
Carroll on the other hand...
Yeah, fair point.Approaching your boss in a menacing fashion and shouting at him is in almost every instance, or so I would suggest, inevitably not the right decision.
Yes, I'm sure that's 100% correct. It just saddens me to see it. As you say, it gives us a fair insight into why they've been so poor this season. The long and short of it though, irrespective of whether he deserves it or not, is that if the players are behaving in this way, then they're doing so because they know they will be able to get away with it, and the finger of blame has to be pointed at Kenny for this. I agree, he shouldn't have to put up with this sort of behaviour, I don't think anyone should quite honestly. But the players are behaving like this, because they know they can. You never see Man Utd players (as an example behaving like this), and there's a very good reason for that. As soon as you let players run the show like this it's curtains, no wonder Liverpool are up **** creek.
Says it all tbh. Looks genuinely confused as to who is in charge. Sees Kenny get royally put in his place. Looks flabbergasted and waits for Kenny's reaction, which never comes. Then thinks "ah **** this then, will just plod through with the match".Yeah, fair point.
Meanwhile, am I the only one who finds Henderson body language hilarious in that GIF?
Dalglish shouldn't have been on the pitch in the first place.Approaching your boss in a menacing fashion and shouting at him is in almost every instance, or so I would suggest, inevitably not the right decision.
It would be nice not to see it sewn up before Easter. But even if Blackburn do surprise us tonight, City are so poor that they'll drop plenty more points anyway.Anyway hope against hope that Blackburn somehow manage to complete the double over Man Utd. The title race is almost certainly but would be nice for United to at least stutter a little bit getting over the line.
Relevance to how Gerrard reacted?Dalglish shouldn't have been on the pitch in the first place.
Seems pretty relevant to me, I wouldn't be happy with my manager making a tit of himself either.Relevance to how Gerrard reacted?
There's a difference between not being happy about Dalglish being on the pitch and reacting in the way that Gerrard did. The rest of the players managed not to cross that particular line, afaics. But apparently there's a parallel universe where it's OK to respond to your boss like that. As for making a tit of himself, was he really?Seems pretty relevant to me, I wouldn't be happy with my manager making a tit of himself either.
If the manager's acting like a tit then it's not suprising if players show a bit of disrespect.Relevance to how Gerrard reacted?
He's probably dead in the water, isn't he. Given that I agree with all of the above, they almost need not to win the FA Cup and risk being stuck with him next season.I do wonder how long it'll be before The Kop starts to get a bit grumbly with King Kenny. Obviously he's got an ocean of goodwill built up, but it's patently obvious the game has rather passed him by in terms of transfers, tactics and (much as it pains me to label it a factor) media relations.
Seven defeats in eight league games is their worst run since 1953/54, or so I read in today's paper. Anyone but Dalglish would surely have had the arse by now.
He has a technical area he can stay within, there was absolutely no reason for him to be on the pitch. If he needs to get instructions across then get one of the players to come over to you. There's a difference between not being happy about Dalglish being on the pitch and reacting in the way that Gerrard did. It wasn't 'a bit' of disrespect. If the manager's acting like a tit then it's not suprising if players show a bit of disrespect.
Boss or not shouldn't be relevant, he's not above reproach if he's doing something to directly jeopardise the side's chances (which he is; he's not allowed to leave his technical area I assume so he must have been risking disciplinary action, before you get to the messages it sends out). There's a difference between not being happy about Dalglish being on the pitch and reacting in the way that Gerrard did. All true. Still doesn't equate 'making a tit' of himself. Far less justifying Gerrard's response. He has a technical area he can stay within, there was absolutely no reason for him to be on the pitch. If he needs to get instructions across then get one of the players to come over to you.
