Certainly is, like you say if KP & Trott can play themselves in and steadily start chipping away at the score, it will then come down to building partnerships, every player that comes in has to contribute and gradually knock the runs off. That means remaining positive but at the same time playing sensibly and definitely don't get too bogged down. All about the first session. Ifr Trott & KP bat through that, I reckon we'll win. Can't see Bell, Prior or Patel guiding us to another 240 if one goes early on current form, hope I'm wrong.
I'm wondering if it's worth getting up for the start? I have to be in pretty early for a meeting anyway. But then again... is it just going to be a waste of time getting up?I have decided that if we make it through wicketless by the time my alarm goes off tomorrow (8am) we will win.
In all likelihood we will be 6 down at lunch so no.I'm wondering if it's worth getting up for the start? I have to be in pretty early for a meeting anyway. But then again... is it just going to be a waste of time getting up?
Yeah... I can see all our batsman playing the 'supporting 50' role but I'm not confident any of them can get the 100 that someone probably needs to get if we're going to get close. In all likelihood we will be 6 down at lunch so no.
However it has to be said Herath is NOT Adjmal, and Randiv is not as accurate a backup as Rehman. We couldn't move the scoreboard at all with them on, hence why it turned into a car crash. At least we seem to be trying to tick it over now, and we'll also have Lakmal coming on with a few pie overs for KP if he stays in. If the pitch hasn't crumbled over night we have a chance.
Would give it a call at Lunch. If we haven't lost a wicket do everything in your power. Obviously this all depends on whether you have to leave before 7:30Interestingly poised this one - I'm wondering whether a sickie is in order - I do get these dreadful migraines you see, and if I stayed at home all morning I could probably get in for the afternoon
I've got up at 6:00am last couple of days. Will be pretty annoyed if I get up early again to see our batsmen fail miserably.I'm wondering if it's worth getting up for the start? I have to be in pretty early for a meeting anyway. But then again... is it just going to be a waste of time getting up?
awtaAjmal is a completely different kettle of fish, it was an overall inability to pick his doosra that caused the downfall of many by causing such indecision. We have struggled in these conditions in a similar way the sub-continental sides struggle on our livelier greener tracks, it's simply something away from our familiar conditions. It is important we see some improvements in these conditions though if we wish to retain our number one status.
