I imagine he got up when he realised that no-one - least of all his batting partner - was at all concerned about him. Might have been a bit of 'banter' when he got back to the dressing-room, I'd imagine.

Nick Knight is beginning to sap my will to live, his use of the phrase "will be" is so grinding..."yap, will be four" "will be two" "will only be one", good heavens depart, depart Nick! Alas, Greigy's back to relieve us all...

If SL's last two wickets hadn't added 80-odd we could have been within 100 of the target by this point. :(

Then again, we could have been six or seven down.

England doing it quite well so far. Suddenly they are able to play spin? :p
Not really. Trott's using his brain and KP's been lucky.

Two of our top six need to make very big scores ideed if this is to get close tomorrow.

What was our total in the 4th innings of the last test against Pakistan? Would it be enough to win this test?

hahahahah oh my god - Greig starts to doing his tourism board ads or whatever and sky cut to an ad about cricket highlights. and then after they run out of things to say they leave the graphic telling the time of the highlights until greig shuts up.

If SL's last two wickets can add 80-odd, 300-odd is a reasonable target..... It feels like a lame argument, yet this is still a Test that might go any possible way. So far Trott & Pietersen seem to apply (finally) quite well.

I don't agree KP is simply being lucky. Sure he was dropped once and played a mow just over a fielder early on, but otherwise he seems quite sensible.

I realise my wish is the father of my opinion, but I do think this might get very tight!

Trott's looked good this innings; I still get the feeling that the Broad no-ball could be the deciding factor in this Test. I would still give England some chance of chasing this though, 229 with 8 wickets in hand is gettable, one of these 2 definitely needs to reach three figures though.

He played well eventually, but was lucky to survive long enough to get set.

It's been a frustrating test. Too many dropped catches in SL's first innings, Broad's sequence of no-balls eventually costing us in the their 2nd knock, and the brain-dead batting in our first innings. We really should be in the driving seat, but a couple of the guys are going to have to do something heroic to see us home from here.
