Well if they don't they really shouldn't even be playing Test Cricket.

275 on a day 3 and 4 pitch against this attack isn't that improbable. Sure, Herath can cause problems, but I reckon if one of your gritty batsman Cook or Trott gets in, the total doesn't seem so hard.

The only real problem for England is that your a batsman short, as Patel is a blatant mug with the bat who makes Steve Smith appear as though he's Rahul ****ing Dravid.
All well and good, but the problem is that we haven't looked remotely like chasing anything over 50 since the turn of the year. And the problems start long before Patel reaches the crease.

Soft shot from Chandimal - very disappointing for him. I've put $$ on England, I'm confident that they'll chase 275.

I agree its going to be awesome, but why does England sucking balls with the bat in this test (so far) make it any moreso?
I wasn't basing what I said off that? It's the top two teams, with the two top bowling attacks, facing each other in preferable conditions (and probably for the no.1 ranking) so it was always gonna be an awesome series. If it was up to me I'd like both teams to be going into it with their confidence at a high, because I personally want SA to beat a peak England, with no excuses being made.

Norwood's on Fire
Say what you want about Swann, because there's no doubt he's not been as good in the last year as he was beforehand, but whenever conditions scream 'we need Swann to fire' he does so.

Strikes me as a bit of a ****, tbh.

It's quite amazing how consistently he does this.

Opposition fans not liking a player isn't a bad thing...

Anyhow, we have a spinner with 170 test wickets averaging 28 who bowls teams out on spinning pitches on the last day. I have no idea what the problem with his ability/results is meant to be tbh.
