You can use the match filter a bit like that, also. Lets you select the batsmen you're interested in and only see them facing the two or three best bowlers in that match. Or see all the LBWs that Wagner's got this season in all forms, say -

To deselect or multi-select the options it gives you, I think you have to hold down Ctrl and click them.
By 'links go to the homepage' you are getting into the 'all matches' page I take it. If not, when you're watching internationals, backspace the address bar to nothing and paste this in and hit enter if you need to -

he definitely played some off side shots - but the majority of his shots were leg side. He needs to work on his off side play. For example, No real back foot cover drives amongst this long inning and only a few cover drives of note. No square cuts either.
Harry Boam
Andrew de Boorder
Interesting points. Agree it makes sense for Boam to move away from the team that would field 11 all-rounders if it could. I think he's got a bit more bowling potential than say Jimmy Neesham, who is definitely more of a batsman. CD is looking rather weak at present (sorry Flem) so would be a good choice. If he wants to play for NZ Boam will need to pick either batting or bowling to specialise in IMO, otherwise runs the risk of fitting into the 'bits and pieces' category.Astle v Nethula
Yeah I didn't particularly like his batting technique either. Rutherford looks a lot better for his age.he definitely played some off side shots - but the majority of his shots were leg side. He needs to work on his off side play. For example, No real back foot cover drives amongst this long inning and only a few cover drives of note. No square cuts either.
I mainly saying this because I observed this of him during his ODIs and this footage has reinforced my view.
He is a great prospect but he needs to develop further.
Plans for NZ batsmen? Project the ball to the other end of the pitch and see what happensWhat will the Saffa's plan be to Brownlie? Bowling short probably shouldn't be it but they've pretty much come out and said thats what they've tried to do to most of the Kiwi bats.
Watched the video and saw what you said about the occasional double front foot movement. Something to work on I guess. I'd be perfectly happy if he puts away the cover drive v South Africa too, considering he doesn't get particularly far forward. If he stays in any length of time Philander will no doubt test him on that fuller length around offstump. If you watch that innings - particularly the early part of it - with a close eye on his footwork you'll notice that he has a bit of a shuffling trigger movement and he's fine when he just moves each foot once, but on occasions he moves his front foot twice before the ball is even delivered and when that happens he doesn't move his feet again at all and gets stuck on fuller deliveries. Sometimes he doesn't do that second front foot trigger movement though and he plays it well; I'm sure it's something he's aware of.
The biggest difference obviously is that he doesn't have that wild backlift anymore that made him late on everything bowled at over 135km/hr.

Ben Horne is Phil Horne's son, therefore is Matt's nephew given Phil is Matt's brother. Are William Young and Ben Horne related to Bryan Young and Matt Horne (aka our last average yet passable test openers) by any chance?
