i think the thing that annoys me the most about the burns wicket is that the shot was never getting 4 runs, not on this outfield. so why? WHY?

Hopes is going great guns - best person to be at the crease. Always seems to score runs under pressure.

Admittedly the Tigers did bowl some poo towards the end of the session. Krejza is just woeful.

Bird's generally a bit quicker than Butterworth. Both are capable of bowling mid to high 130s if they really strain for pace but neither usually operate in that area; Butterworth usually bowls high 120s and Bird is usually in the low 130s range.

Interestingly enough, on Bird's pace, he wasn't really quite this quick when he played grade cricket in Sydney (or at least I didn't think he was); he was closer to Copeland's pace. Adding a yard seems to really propelled his career.
Nah, deceptively quick all the time. Hurried the batsman and got a lot of bounce.

Well I'll take your word for it as I think I only saw the guy bowl once in grade cricket. :p Was more a general impression I got from talking to people who reckoned he wasn't very quick.

Absolutely insipid from the Tigers. How have they let it slip from 5/55?
