Good to see Bracewell taking wickets. South Africa must have a better batsman than Peterson in first class cricket.

Doesn't compare to Philander of course, but Bracewell's 28 wickets @ 18.50 is a pretty damn awesome start to his Test career.

Considering his youth and experience relative to Philander, it's still a phenomenal achievement.

Philander surely has emerging player of the year in the bag though, unless there's age/experience restrictions.

Yea if only New Zealand could have had a 3rd crack at batting.

Shame anyway, would have been interesting to see South Africa chase a smallish total and lose Smith early.

I can see us moving back to four bowlers next test if they're desperate for Brownlie.

Could be a worry on a bad Gillespie day.
