U19 12th Man
Having already opened the can of worms....i'm going to muddy the water a little bit more...
Fact - "In the United States, the average height of a man has drastically increased overtime and is currently at about sixty nine and a half inches. This is up an entire inch from just 1960."
Do read the book "A tall story for our time"...to really understand why we have been able to improve athletically in all the fields, and i think Cricket is no different.
As of today, we have a higher % of bowlers bowling 145 + kph than in any other era. There hasn't been anyone to break Akhtar's and Lee's record speeds, but i have practically no doubt that the record will be shattered at some point....if not by a bowler who is already bowling, it will be by a new bowler. But it will be broken nevertheless..
As an extension to that argument, i believe that if we had kept a record of all the delivery speeds up to date from 1900's or whenever, i think Akhtar and Lee would have shattered whatever existing record we had by the time these two came around....
