Reckon it was one of the worst appointments a quote-unquote "big" club has ever made, he just didn't have the chops for it & to think he did after one (admittedly successful) season at Porto was an exercise in wishful-thinking. Just because one Portuguese with a god-complex is a great manager it doesn't follow they all are.

He'll probably piss off fewer of his playing staff, so that's a step in the right direction anyway. Probably played with Terry & Lampard, in fact.

Pretty shocking performance so far against a very weak Spurs lineup. Jones was so, so lucky not to commit a foul and get a second yellow in the lead up to the disallowed goal.
