It's pretty worrying for Australia that the two who would've been considered comfortably their best two limited overs quicks in Lee and Harris have been rubbish in general for this whole series. Completely outperformed by Hilfenhaus, McKay and Christian.

It'd be a good problem to have if McKay, Hilfenhaus and Christian had just lifted their games to Lee/Harris standard or above, but while Hilfenhaus has improved his bowling across all forms, it's mostly just been that Lee and Harris have bowled pies and elevated the others by default.

Up until this season Christian had a career eco rate of something like 6.3 in list a cricket. it's no surprise that he messed up. he's not a death bowler. but harris and lee being so crap put clarke in a pretty crappy spot. their poor performance cost the aus the game 'cause it forced clarke to look elsewhere and well
