Australian Domestic Season 2011-12

Yeah keepers don't really stick around. In recent times anyway. Healy didn't play another FC match after his last test for example, and he got dumped at the start of the shield season. Obv Gilly too. Manou pretty much quit after Paine took over as deputy and he was like 31-32. Hell even Ronchi right now. Seccombe & Berry quit around Haddin's age too. In a 6 team domestic comp there's not much desire to keep on a 35yo who is the only player on the team that occupys that spot, particularly when there's a younger option putting up great results.

Haddin will probs try to make some cash on the t20 scenez anyway

Assuming the WI tour is Haddin's last - and I've believed that this season would be his last for ages and I reckon so have the selectors, be it Hilditch or Ole John - he loses his CA contract and while Haddin's been a great player for NSW...I mean it's a pretty simple call for NSW. Haddin will stay on at the Sixers though probs. Victoria is hardly a great destination 'cause the exact same thing could happen this time next year if Wade doesn't fire and Paine does. SA the best if he does leave.
Surely WA??

and speaking of the great man

Phil Hughes is going to bat at 3 for NSW today. Kat flew over early bc of eye, lucky he did cos it swelled up on way over. Now u know!
so maybe

1. Usman
Maddinson
Hughes
4. Ferret Face
Rohrer
Haddin
7. SOK
Abbott
9. Doran/Tremain (Doran's probably the best OD spinner of SOK/Smith/Doran but going in with only 3 pace options is probably a no-no)
Starc
Copeland

Katich returns for NSW SpeedBlitz Blues in Ryobi Cup

def a concern they've felt the need to add 'in addition to scoring 14 not out'
Haha, I actually did skim that press release, but managed to miss both the paragraph devoted to him and his name in the squad. Wow.

Anyway, surely we will be picking every single bowler in the squad in the final eleven. That's how we go about things, no?

1 Khawaja
2 Maddinson
3 Hughes
4 Smith
5 Haddin
6 O'Keefe
7 Abbott
8 Starc
9 Doran
10 Copeland
11 Tremain

For sure.

but they ain't dropping Rohrer.

so Rohrer in, Haddin opening, Maddinson out

Given we should really class SOK as a batsman for OD games it's not half bad
