heard their 2nd XI are applying for test statusnah wouldn't get a game in nz first class, it's a good level or 3 above the australian system.

Uh... what? Fair enough to criticise SOK's batting, fielding and general captaincy, but he bowled well from what I saw, while Hauritz was leaking runs all around the ground (though not as much as vdGimp).i look forward to SOK explaining A) Why he bowled double the overs Ritz did despite the fact SOK never ever looked threatening and Ritz....well wasn't given a a chance to be not threatening
Uh not really. Hauritz bowled 8 odd overs on the first day for about 20-30 and then bowled 3 overs on the day WA scored about 700 runs for no wickets. Oddly enough when Hauritz did get smashed when Davis was on about 280 SOK's reaction was take himself out of the attack. And SOK wasn't really bowling well. He wasn't leaking runs like Dutchy and Lalor - Lalor 'only' leaked runs for the first half of the innings I guess - but the batsmen were playing him with ease like they have most of the season. He def over-bowled himself and on day 2 underbowled Hauritz.Uh... what? I wouldn't like to be the guy who said nah we don't need him and lost the finalOnce again I think it'd be really poor form to have a player like Ponting parachuted into a final despite not playing a game for them in the entire competition. I wouldn't like to be the player who has played the majority of the 8 games yet has to make way for him to be in the side.
Peter Nevill was left out of the side, while Nathan Hauritz (shoulder strain), Scott Coyte (back in Sydney for the birth of his first child) and Moises Henriques (injured side), were not considered for selection.
