Australian Domestic Season 2011-12

i look forward to SOK explaining A) Why he bowled double the overs Ritz did despite the fact SOK never ever looked threatening and Ritz....well wasn't given a a chance to be not threatening
Uh... what? Fair enough to criticise SOK's batting, fielding and general captaincy, but he bowled well from what I saw, while Hauritz was leaking runs all around the ground (though not as much as vdGimp).

QLD batting has let us down once again, but fair play to Cowan and Bailey who must have batted well to win the game. Cutting serious contender for MVP this year. His low order runs have been the difference between victory and defeat at times. QLD seriously need to start winning again though if we're to take the shield, it's been a while since we won a game.

Uh not really. Hauritz bowled 8 odd overs on the first day for about 20-30 and then bowled 3 overs on the day WA scored about 700 runs for no wickets. Oddly enough when Hauritz did get smashed when Davis was on about 280 SOK's reaction was take himself out of the attack. And SOK wasn't really bowling well. He wasn't leaking runs like Dutchy and Lalor - Lalor 'only' leaked runs for the first half of the innings I guess - but the batsmen were playing him with ease like they have most of the season. He def over-bowled himself and on day 2 underbowled Hauritz.

CEO slams selfish Blues

Now see, it's nice to hear Gilbert slamming the team. But....like how the dreadful performance wasn't a first, underachieving when we have a bunch of national players in the team isn't a first either. So like I dunno know sort it out Dave

Injury leaves North shattered

Or open the batting with him. I mean let's face he can't do any worse than whatever sucker we send up there

Is Ricky now gonna play in the OD final on Saturday? Could be some serious trouble with point to prove against ****ty backs bowling attack on Sat.

Once again I think it'd be really poor form to have a player like Ponting parachuted into a final despite not playing a game for them in the entire competition. I wouldn't like to be the player who has played the majority of the 8 games yet has to make way for him to be in the side.

I wouldn't like to be the guy who said nah we don't need him and lost the final

On a side note just wanna ask how a bloke like Lalor is playing in the Shield and that too for a team life NSW, looks very ordinary and I'm surprised he's playing ahead of blokes like Hazelwood, infa,ct someone like Abbott or Henriques would be far better choices than him.
People are bagging SOK and Ritz but on a surface where WA quicks skittled the Blues for less than 100 runs you would then expect NSW quicks to lead the charge but they clearly failed to do so.

Peter Nevill was left out of the side, while Nathan Hauritz (shoulder strain), Scott Coyte (back in Sydney for the birth of his first child) and Moises Henriques (injured side), were not considered for selection.

So, what to do with Nevill? Looks like he's only gonna play a handful of matches at best over the next season or two. I reckon Victoria is the way to go, or SA, maybe WA. No point in him missing half the NSW season because of Haddin being around too much, and i doubt Haddin will retire.

Assuming the WI tour is Haddin's last - and I've believed that this season would be his last for ages and I reckon so have the selectors, be it Hilditch or Ole John - he loses his CA contract and while Haddin's been a great player for NSW...I mean it's a pretty simple call for NSW. Haddin will stay on at the Sixers though probs. Victoria is hardly a great destination 'cause the exact same thing could happen this time next year if Wade doesn't fire and Paine does. SA the best if he does leave.

As soon as Haddin's test career is over, things will go quickly.

If he stays on and plays FC cricket, they'll either want Haddin to play as a batsman alone, Nev as a batsman alone, or they'll just drop Haddin.
