also find myself incredibly meh about t20s (as usual) and odis (which i usually like). We win one test against a top nation and it goes straight to the head. Feel like being a **** and advocating that anyone who could be half decent at tests should sit the odis/t20s out - bracewell, boult, southee, williamson, ryder, brownlie etc. Fill the odi team with guys like bates, hira and nicol instead.
i'm going to be an elitist **** and suggest we keep certain good test prospects away from the limited overs formats and pick specialists like mills, bates etc.

Thoughts?
awta ;)

Waddle confirms Nethula in for NcCullum, but the weather could cause late changes. Also talk of Oram in for Dougeh.

He's a bowler who bats these days.
Yeah...I didn't see Ellis' 33, so it'd be wrong of me to say he doesn't deserve to bat ahead of Jake. I guess 8 it is.

Srinath asks: "I don't see any footage in India. Any idea ?" Unfortunately the TV broadcasters in India don't share your enthusiasm, and are not showing this series. You might need to find a channel on the internet, or as it's known in Giles Clarke-land, 'the biggest danger to the game'!
I like this commentator already.

That was a quick turn around. Looks like we might get a decent amount of cricket. And if it rains again, the drainage looks decent enough for quick restarts. Hooray.

Very good start from Zimbabwe. Tight bowling with good fields set.
Can see the NZ openers getting themselves out due to the scoreboard pressure.
