Couple of costly bad decisions by Azhar IMO. Well done on grinding out this inning so far, but really not playing well with the tail at all.

Not seen much of last 2 days been occupied with other things but does anyone else think England will be better chasing a larger total of over 300 than a nervy one of 150ish.

Don't know if the track has flattened out or not but we are probably more likely to make a fist of it chasing a total nobody expects us to get than a total we are expected to chase down easily.

Well he's probably not had to do it a lot throughout his career - even before he made his Test debut - as he's been an opener/#3 batsman with a conversion problem.

Surprising to see that Swann's average in the series so far has been higher than his test career average. Still a respectable 29 of course.

Pakistan continues the trend of saving the careers of bad spin bowlers

Herath
Hauritz
Panesar
Bit harsh, Monty is better than that. Yes he lost his way but you don't get that many 5fers in such a short space of time without being a good bowler. He isn't top class and never will be but he is a good one.

Time to declare. Officially. Knew it was slightly late. And what about the pitch. It's a right old turner. But be careful a draw is on my cards as well. Only just now.

I did not complain. I did not advise, to bat so late, I did say 230 odd would be enough.

Dude there are some spinners I have never rated and Panesar is one of them..along with Hauritz, Herath, Kaneria, Harbhajan.

Dude he had a good county season but he was hardly dominating the competition. I mean he got outbowled by Gary Keedy ffs.
Gary Keedy would dominate out here as well tbh.

disclaimer: I am basing everything off my ICC stint with Sussex

Not really, he hasn't bowled well by his own standards. Comfortably the 4th best spinner on view in the series, some may say the 5th.

I think that's a bit harsh on Swann because this current Pakistan team are no mugs with the bat...Younis is an excellent player of spin and Misbah is good too
