Jagielka is better than Lescott and they work as a pair. Showed that for Everton and England. Wouldn't be upset if they were the first choice pair as Terry and Ferdinand has got us a long way in the past. NOT

Just been reading the paper and saw that. Telling a copper in court to stop staring at you has to be a bad idea.

& "not remembering" signing a cheque for £100k. Which was approximately one-fifth of his annual salary. I know bloody well if I wrote a cheque for one-fifth of my annual gross pay I'd ****ing well remember doing it.

Has a player lived off one and a half good seasons as long as Phil Jagielka? Honestly. I don't rate Lescott particularly but I think he's proven himself in arguably the best team in the league over the last 18 months whereas Jagielka has spent most of that time injured and playing in one of the most defensive teams in the league. Good player, but hyped.

Dropping him for being past it yes, not sure stripping captaincy and still picking him is th right thing to do.

Does seem like the FA have rather botched this, if they were going to do it all then they should have done so when he was charged. If somehow he's now not convicted then this is going to look Liverpoolesque in how it's been handled.

Yes pass the armband from one complete tosser who doesn't merit a place in the side to another complete tosser who doesn't merit a place in the side.


Edit: Missed out old/past it etc. Just give it to the keeper and get on with it.
