Feel sorry for Macheda, needs a run in a Prem/Champ team to see if he'll cut the mustard, thats gone out of the window.

Similar situation to Rossi, never got the chance to break into our team, the loan experience never came (short spell at Newcastle), left for Spain and showed his class.
Aye but that was due to Roeder not taking a chance. Sibierski, Martins and Ameobi were in front of him. Should really have got more games. With Macheda it's too much bodies in front of him rather.

Just seen Campbell's goal again. Quite, quite special. Serious contender for goal of the season.

Even funnier is that it moves him above Bendtner in the pecking order. & we know how Nicklas rates Nicklas. Be terrible if he can't get a game for Sunderland.

No, with Macheda it's a case of being nowhere near as good as he thinks he is.
Well can't know how good he really is without regular games though. Then again he wasn't exactly ripping up the reserves this season like Rossi used to.

You can tell he's not good enough to warrant regular games.

A bit like Darron's goal against Hull, one of the worst things for Manure was Macheda scoring on his debut.

Not really, had it not been for that goal and his rather fortuitous goal the following week there's a fair chance we wouldn't have won the league that season. We've only had to put up with a combined total of about 400 minutes of (admittedly) rubbish from him since (league only stats) which seems a small price to pay tbh.

Fudge it with Jones, IMHO. CH/DM/RB option, however nominal the last two are.

Terry, Ferdinand (R), Jagielka, Cahill & Jones is my guess.
Leaving Lescott behind would be an absolute travesty, he's better than all five of those guys at CB these days. I don't even think it's close.
