The crowd was strongly behind Nadal even in the ceremony. I wonder how long it will take for crowds to warm to Novak.
The crowd were definitely favouring Rafa most of the night, but there was a huge amount of support for Novak as well. I was actually surprised. The crowd was strongly behind Nadal even in the ceremony. I wonder how long it will take for crowds to warm to Novak.
Obviously weren't at the Sixers-Stars BBL match then.I was there Best sporting moment of my life, what a match.
Yep. Been an awesome era.what a wonderful win by novak! if he keeps this up for another 2-3 years (and barring any serious injuries, i don't see why not)...he will also enter the GOAT debate...what a fantastic era for men's tennis with three candidates for GOAT all playing at an exceptionally high level...and the 4th guy murray is good enough to have won at least 2-3 slams by now had roger, rafa and novak not been around...
Yeah, I'm more with you than her (bit of nostalgia shining through) but she does have some points. On the PED thing, even if the top guys aren't using it now, the success of muscular power tennis rather than finesse and touch it will certainly be an impetus on the young players towards PED use - and when you combine that with possibly the laxest test regime of all Olympic sports, you have a really poisonous mix.Article is spot on regarding the time between points.
Sick of hearing about how players don't go to the net. I like variety too, but by God that match entertained pretty much everyone watching and at the stadium in a way that Llodra, Feliciano Lopez or Stepanek wouldn't ever come close to doing with their serve and volley game.
That being said I'm all for speeding up the Wimbledon surface.
There will always be conjecture about performance enhancing drugs and Rafa and now Nole. No point even going there since there is absolutely no proof whatsoever.
does the captain really have much of a role in davis cup?Jim Courier wag.
