Pretty sure Cutting has been playing club cricket the past couple of weeks (or would have, if not for the rain). He won't be picked for the ODI's - more likely gain match fitness in Shield.

I still think it's worth giving McDermott a run in a couple of these games.

Faulkner is a decent chance as a bowler alone, Christian too considering his performances for SA this season. Marsh needs to fight it out as a batsman.

Will be very disappointed if McDermott and S Smith get picked. McDermott has done very little for the amount of hype he gets, while Smith needs some time away from the squad to get his game right.

Agree. Pointless to play Wade largely out of position. Not the biggest hitter from the start of an innings, and at 7 he is largely redundant. Open with him, or don't play him at all.

smith should of course only play a game if he's actually gonna bowl. there's no part timers (well clarke but) in the batting which I guess helps him, but even then smith should only be picked to bowl 5 + overs, not maybe bowl 5+. So there isn't a place for him.



Would make NSW selection much easier if he was picked though
