Found this line entertaining:

"See him whip the ball through covers or pull a quick off his face"

I assume Ishant Sharma is the quick he's pulling off his face.

Congratulations to India for making to the fifth day this series!

I have a strong feeling India will win this match and set the world record. Saha in my opinion is a solid batsman with a good defense and is an overall athletic player. Sharma knows how to block a few and hang around when required.

Saha will score his maiden test double-century tomorrow, and Sharma will surprise selectors with his crafty half-century. Ashwin will then make his second test century to back up his partner. At a run-rate of just under 4 per over, Saha will score the winning runs in the final session and remain unbeaten on 203*, and his partner Ashwin will remain on just over 100 runs.

The only way I can see India winning is if the tail-enders have a slog and get to the target as soon as possible. A 5th day Adelaide pitch is not easy to bat on, with low bounce lbws and bowled come into play, so I can't see them lasting if they bat normally.

Nothing like a good slog to combat some low bounce, eh.
Yeah whenever I'm batting on a deck that's a bit up and down I always take the long handle and start swiping across the line; works a treat. Nothing eliminates the bounce factor more than a horizontal bat.

Just saw the run out. Love Dharmasena's face when he took in what happened. Had a look of "Woah! Did I see that?" Not every day you stun an international standard umpire.

So happy with the team and it's stuff like that that really underscores why. We're talking about lumbering Hilf making an ATG run out. To a lesser extent Lyon's perseverance after not doing much of note, Clarke's captaincy and Marsh's catch. It's just great to watch players putting in a bit extra and getting rewarded and that's just from the second half of today's play.

Rumours flying that Dravid and perhaps Laxman are about to announce their retirements.
Mark Nicholas was basically singing a requiem for Dravid in the tiny wrap c9 did at stumps. Tendulkar will play ODIs so we'll still see a bit of him, but it was a bit confronting that today we saw the last test innings ever in this country by those other two titans.

And no one really noticed. I was a bit disappointed to see that they didn't get the ovations because **** me they deserve them. Laxman especially in this country.

Think its mainly to do with the manner in which their campaigns played out and ultimately ended. Uninspiring and not doing justice to their legacies.

But overall, disappointing.

Hope tail slogs some runs and Saha scores some more runs with tail, looked pretty solid in first innings
